At this sister shop of SW favorite Twirl Boutique, Liz and Ty help Kentucky brides find their dream gowns at an amazing price!

Meant To Be Boutique is an upscale bridal consignment and sample shoppe. At Meant To Be, we believe that your dream dress was always “meant to be” yours. Regardless of how the dress found its way to our boutique, it was always meant to belong to the bride who says the joyful “yes!” when she steps into it at our sweet little shoppe.

Full Name: Liz Cox
Where you call home: Lexington, Kentucky
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Meant To Be Boutique is the first of its kind in Lexington. We’ve worked hard to build relationships within the bridal industry. Because of this, within six months of opening our doors, we partnered with four other bridal boutiques across the country and four couture designers who send us samples to consign for them. We hope to continue to build more partnerships in the future with the hopes of helping brides find their dream wedding gowns!
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
How I got into weddings: Oh goodness, what a journey it has been! I started out as a wedding photographer and videographer when I was a junior in college. This got my toes wet in the wedding world and I was hooked. After graduating, I was hired by Twirl Boutique as their social media manager and a bridal consultant. Within six months, I was promoted to manager and marketing director at Twirl, and ten months after that, the owner of Twirl, Ty, and I opened the doors to Meant To Be together as co-owners. The last five years have been a complete whirlwind (especially the last two!), but I would never trade any of it for the world! Being a part of this season of life with customers who become friends is such a gift. I never would’ve imagined this as my career, but now that I’m in it, I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. Favorite thing about weddings in the South? We love the traditions that always tend to be threaded throughout a Southern wedding. From family heirlooms being used, to burying the bourbon and cake pulls, there are always sweet little details in a Southern wedding that make it so special and memorable. Traditions create legacies, and what better legacy to create than one of love and joy from your wedding day!
Favorite part of a wedding day? The groom’s face when he sees his bride at the end of the aisle is an all-time favorite moment of ours. It doesn’t matter if they’ve already shared a first look or not, his expression when he sees his soon-to-be wife in her gorgeous dress is one of pure delight and joy. That moment never ceases to send our hearts soaring!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Life is too precious and too short to live with hesitations–be a team, and love wildly together. Choose joy, be intentional, trust faithfully, serve selflessly, and be adventurous!
Dream travel destination? Ireland
Favorite Southern city? Asheville
Early bird or night owl? Night owl all the way!
Favorite pie flavor? I’d feel like a bad Kentuckian if I didn’t say Derby pie!
Favorite biscuit topping? My aunt’s homemade blueberry jam!
