Lindsay Bishop Events

Lindsay Bishop has a huge heart for marriage, and we love the way she allows her couples to focus on preparing for their own marriages while she takes the reins on their wedding plans!

At Lindsay Bishop Events, our mission is helping career-oriented brides enjoy the stress-free experience of planning their wedding by providing a detailed, curated planning process that takes into account your busy schedule, and thoughtful floral design that represents your personal style.

Your special day will be full of the details that make your guests turn to one another and say, “That’s so them.”

Our process is completely customized, exclusive, and very high-touch. We work with a very small number of couples each year and dedicate ourselves to making their visions come to life. We value deep quality and an unmistakable sense of excellence in everything we do. We consider our couples like family – your day is that important to us.

The wedding planning process is both exciting and overwhelming and we want to support you at every step along the way. More than anything, we take pride in orchestrating a seamless day where you relax and celebrate the beginning of a new story along with your friends, your family, and of course, your best friend.

Where you call home: The lovely Charleston, South Carolina
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: Anything and everything! I think it’s so important to celebrate the little things, but I think that the thing my mom is most proud of is my decision to make my marriage a priority over ambition. Before I started planning weddings, I had a really successful career in the financial industry. But, my 9-5 (who am I kidding, more like 7-7!) schedule didn’t really lend itself well to being a police wife, so I chose my husband and never looked back. Boy, am I proud of this little business that I’ve built that allows me to help couples build a strong foundation for their marriages by having a fun engagement, because at the end of the day, it’s all about love! Winning The Knot Best Of Weddings award was really special to me, because it represents my dedication to going above and beyond to help my brides enjoy one of the most memorable days of their lives. I must say, being a Blue Ribbon Vendor was an incredibly exciting milestone for me, too!
Location/Coverage: South Carolina
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Southern hospitality! I love helping brides be the Hostess with the Mostest, making sure that all of their guests feel well taken care of and valued. The food is a close second. Southern weddings always have the most delicious food!
Favorite part of a wedding day? I love watching the bride and groom say their vows to one another, especially if they’ve written them themselves. It’s such an emotional moment, and it’s truly the reason that we all got together in the first place–to witness their commitment to one another. Don’t be surprised if you catch me tearing up!
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? At the end of the day, you’re marrying your best friend. Every piece of your wedding day is going to become a part of your story, so take in as much as you can. Spend time with your grandma, stop to look at the faces of all of the people who love and support you, and–for goodness sakes–eat that dinner that you put so much thought into! Dance until you’re the last person on the dance floor, because 30 years from now, you’ll be telling your grandchildren about this night…so make it fun!
Dream travel destination? Paris! I just want to sit in a park and eat a crusty baguette and amazing cheese.
Favorite Southern city? I’m just a little biased, but I’ve got to say Charleston! It truly has it all!
Early bird or night owl? Early bird, but only after my morning cup of coffee!
Favorite pie flavor? Banana cream with Nilla crust and peanut butter whipped cream. It’s soooo good!
Favorite biscuit topping? Plain ol’ butter. Especially the European kind!
