Hey there! We’re Jake and Heather, husband and wife destination film photographers based in the Southeastern United States, photographing weddings all over the world. We specialize in natural, romantic, joyful weddings with a focus on details and curated storytelling. Our couples cherish their families, treasure each other, and dream of their wedding being an intimate celebration with their dearest family and friends. How I got into weddings: Heather photographed her first wedding when she was 15, not even old enough to drive. She fell in love with film photography in the early years of shooting and continued shooting weddings after high school, completely self-taught. Jake, a musician and talented artist, joined Heather in photography shortly after their wedding in 2014. He was a true natural from the very beginning!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Our favorite thing about weddings in the South is how relaxed and focused on family they tend to be.
Favorite part of a wedding day? Jake: Photographing the bride and her father having a quiet moment, the minute before they walk down the aisle together. Heather: I’m bound to cry when the bride comes down the aisle, and most likely again when her dad gives a toast.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Slow down, breathe, and soak it all in as many times as possible throughout the day.
Dream travel destination? Australia and Italy
