Name(s): Ginger Cook
Where you call home: Diamondhead, MS
Things you’d write home to your Momma about: I’m probably most proud of opening my business immediately following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina along the Gulf Coast. It was a tough time for our area and my family personally, but I felt compelled to push forward with opening the business. Looking back, it was the best decision I could have ever made.
Location/coverage: Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama. Also available for travel.
How I got into weddings: Designing interior spaces developed my passion for event and floral design!
Favorite thing about weddings in the South? Wow! I love so many things about Southern weddings. I especially love the personalization that goes into designing a Southern wedding, and I love to use custom monograms throughout. Incorporating gourmet Southern foods that are important to the bride and groom and using Mississippi-made products are also favorite ways for me to keep it Southern!
Favorite part of a wedding day? I have a bunch! But one of my top favorites is seeing the bride’s face when she sees her wedding ceremony and reception for the first time. I absolutely love the moment that she sees her dream wedding come to life.
Best piece of advice you can give to brides and grooms? Do a first look. In the end, you will be glad you did!
Dream travel destination? Turks & Caicos
Favorite Southern city? New Orleans
Early bird or night owl? In this industry, I have to be both!
Pie bar or red velvet cake? 100% red velvet! Yum!
Pottery Barn or Anthropologie? 50/50
Succulents or peonies? I love designing florals, so this is tough, but I’d have to say I’m more of a peony girl!
