Oh, our dapper gents! I do love seeing what the grooms and groomsmen will don on the big day as much as I love finding out which dress the bride chose. Watching all these Southern gents clean up nicely is another reason why we love them so.

Hey y’all, it’s Alexia here with our last behind the scenes bow tie giveaway. The release of V5 is just 7 days away, and we can’t contain our excitement here in the SW office! You’ll see why we’ve been countin’ down the days when you get your copy! (Haven’t pre-ordered yet? Get your copy here.) To celebrate all that Southern goodness, we’ve been giving away two bow ties a week to some very excited readers. Congratulations to last week’s winners Natalie and Martha!

If I had to pick one of these bow ties for the dapper gents in my life, I would go for the Carolina blue seersucker (In honor of the Tar Heels, of course). Don’t miss your opportunity to win one of these Southern bow ties for the man in your life!

To Enter: Leave a comment below naming your favorite bow tie.

Win: Two winners will each receive the bow tie of their choosing.

Good luck, y’all!

May blew right on past us, didn’t it? Though we’re sad to see it go so quickly, we love having the chance to look back on the lovely real weddings we featured. Emily, Marissa and I are here rounding up our favorite details.

FAVORITE WEDDING DRESS: Marissa just adored Gabriella’s short white dress. Gabi knew it was the one when she put it on and couldn’t stop dancing! For Emily (and really, all of us), Melanie’s crocheted dress blew her away with its detail and charm. I couldn’t resist Gabrielle’s Vera Wang dress, especially after she donned a dramatic black bow for the reception.

FAVORITE BRIDESMAID DRESS: Melanie’s ‘maids in mixed shades of pink took the cake for Marissa, especially with the addition of cowboy boots! I thought Gabriella’s bridesmaids in their colorful embroidered dresses were too cute to pass. On the other hand, the grey one-shouldered dresses that stole Emily’s heart looked fab on Gabrielle’s ‘maids.

FAVORITE FEMALE ACCESSORY: There was no question that Madelynne’s bright pop of red lipstick was Emily’s favorite accessory for her big day. Appealing to the glamorous side of Marissa, Lindsay’s sparkly blue pumps were a show-stopper! I fell head over heels for Gabrielle’s billowing veil.

FAVORITE MENSWEAR: Oh our dapper gents. We just love them so! The chevron-wrapped boutonnieres at Madelynne + Corey’s wedding caught Emily’s eye for detail. Marissa’s eye was drawn away from our dapper gents this month and toward our dapper kiddos! The stylish guys in Sarah + Nick’s wedding parade were too cute! I was taken with Gabriella + Jonathan’s colorful groomsmen.

FAVORITE DETAIL: Some details always stick with us. For Marissa, the silhouette cornhole boards at Melanie + Cale’s reception were the perfect summer wedding addition. The paper flower wall at Gabriella + Jonathan’s reception was too amazing for words. Looking again at Melanie + Cale’s wedding, their giant burlap banner was a festive touch that Emily adored.

FAVORITE CEREMONY: Ceremonies are always a treat to look back on. This month, we all agreed when Marissa said Melanie + Cale’s spiral hay bale ceremony was thoughtful and unique. I thought Sarah + Nick’s outdoor ceremony (with a translucent curtain to walk through!) was lovely. Emily was drawn to the bright and fun setup of Gabriella + Jonathan’s ceremony.

FAVORITE BOUQUET: Gabrielle’s pink bouquet was what Emily called a “peony dream!” At Lindsay + Chris’s wedding, the bride’s garden-like bouquet and the bridesmaids’ petite and slightly wild bouquets were favorites of mine. Marissa was taken with the sweet and romantic lace-wrapped bouquet that Melanie carried down the aisle.

FAVORITE SWEET: The tulle-inspired cake at Gabrielle + Paul’s wedding was an immediate favorite for Emily, who couldn’t help but love the sugar flowers. For Marissa, it was the fun, bunting-topped cake at Madelynne + Corey’s wedding that appealed to her sweet tooth. Lindsay + Chris’s delicate cakes were too adorable for me to ignore.

FAVORITE PHOTO: This is always our favorite category when it comes putting together the Monthly Round-Up! Emily loved the anticipation in this shot of Madelynne and her ‘maids right before the ceremony. I adored the calm and romance of Gabrielle and her father walking down the aisle. Marissa loved the fun getaway shot of Melanie + Cale as their family and friends waved sparklers in the air.

I am biased of course, but here’s my faves! Melanie’s dress (no doubt), Gabriella’s bridesmaids (so unique), LIndsey’s shoes (OMG), my husband’s bout (he’s a cutie), gabriella’s backdrop (so fun!!), Melanie’s ceremony (intimate), Lindsey’s bouquet (gorgeous), our cake (chevron!!! bunting!!!!), and our photo (me and my sweet sister MOH sharing a special moment)
