We hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our gratitude cups are overflowing, and we’re ready to bring that same spirit of thankfulness to the Christmas season. We have so many wonderful things in store for this month, including 12 Days of Christmas giveaways coming up soon, our Gingerbread Barn Building Competition next week (find more information and RSVP here), and our holiday ornament swap–it’s going to be fun!

Perfect for the holiday season, Kristin shared her seventh “Hint for a Happy Marriage” this week. We’d love to hear your two cents on this topic here!

Thanksgiving was a big source of inspiration for V6’s Blackberry Beauty, so naturally, we had to share it this week! We can’t get enough of the rich colors and delicate details in this gorgeous shoot.

Ode to the Biscuit was hands down the most delicious V6 spread, as well as the biggest office collaboration! While creating this snazzy layout was fun, the best part of this shoot was sampling all of the fabulous biscuit creations by The Umstead.

It has been such a joy seeing instagrams with the #SWV6 hashtag roll in, so we couldn’t resist sharing a few of our favorites here!

Hooray for real weddings!

We wish we could have been guests at Olivia and Robert’s darling Nashville brunch wedding! See it here.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Those biscuits look so delicious! I was thinking of fried chicken originally but was worried about all the grease, these biscuits are rejuvenating my creativity. Thanks SO much for sharing these ideas!

We’re knee-deep in V6 editorial recaps this week, and hope y’all are loving them as much as we are! It’s so much fun sharing a closer look at these shoots that have been on our minds all year, as well as behind the scenes glances at how they came together. We have many more of these recaps coming up in the next few weeks, and of course, don’t forget to check them out in the magazine!

Before we dive into the editorials we shared this week, we’d like to invite y’all to join us in two of our favorite Christmas traditions! See this post for all the information you need about our Ornament Swap and Gingerbread Barn Building contest.

First up for editorials, we’re going behind the scenes of Sweet Corn Sweethearts. Along with lots of fun pictures of petal throwing, corn husking, and biscuit sampling, don’t miss the phenomenal video that BRV members Twenty-One Films made for us!

Sweet Corn Sweethearts includes so much of what we love about weddings in the South, from the beautiful North Carolina scenery to the table full of our favorite Southern foods. We’d love to hear your favorite detail–there are so many to choose from!

April seems like it was ages ago, so it was fun to look back at the behind the scenes pictures from Berry Bliss! Despite a dreary day, everyone was in high sprits for one of the first editorial shoots of the year.

We can’t help but smile at these bright, cheerful Berry Bliss images. That bold red is so fun! I’m delighted to announce that we have also (randomly) chosen winners for the LulaKate dresses and Nina shoes giveaway. Congratulations to Kelly (size 4 dress, comment #38), Abi Losli (size 8 dress, comment #12), Whitley Gaffney (size 8 dress, comment #20), and Catie (shoes, comment #5)! Y’all keep an eye out for an email from me!

The vendors we work with amaze us regularly, and the Song of the South team was no exception! We love what they put together in Nashville, and since we weren’t actually at this shoot, we’re glad they had plenty of behind the scenes pictures to share.

Now for the finished product! We fell in love with the music-inspired details, sentimental touches, and lovely Southern style in Song of the South, and we’re sure you will too!

Only one real wedding this week!

Morgan and Jason’s colorful farm wedding was so full of love and joy! See it here.

Last but not least!

Today is the last day to enter our Sandals honeymoon giveaway! Find all of the information you need to enter here.

We’re delighted to have an engagement session by Jen Dillender on our Facebook page today, so be sure to take a look!

Our friends at The Georgia Club are hosting a Bridal Event this Sunday! Brides will have the opportunity to meet over 20 Athens vendors, as well as sample items from The Georgia Club’s delectable tasting menu. Find lots more information here.

Have a happy weekend!

Oh, what a week this has been!! It is certainly one that I will never, ever forget! ;)

Thank you SO much to everyone who came out to the V6 launch party last night. We had the best time celebrating and hugging y’all! It was a magical evening and we’re so grateful to all of our amazing party sponsors for helping us make it happen.

Before diving into all of our gorgeous editorials from V6, we shared a peek into the Southern Weddings Postal Service. The total number of V6 copies we’ve sent out from our little office so far is well over 1,500!

First up for our editorial posts was our stunning cover shoot, Deep in the Heart of Texas! We love every detail of this gorgeous shoot, inspired by the classic Texan folk song.

Our Generations Past shoot features some of the dreamiest dresses and flowers we’ve ever featured, I’m sure y’all will agree! Even more than that, we love the heirloom-inspired details that are so special in Southern weddings.

So much happens behind the scenes on shoot days! We were so happy that BRV member Anna K. Photography was on hand to capture all of the fun and hard work that went into creating Fine Feathered Fete. See it here!

And now for the finished product! Our love for chickens is well-documented, so it is probably no surprise that we’re all smitten with Fine Feathered Fete! P.S. A big SW thank you to our sweet friend Kathryn at Snippet and Ink for sharing a preview of this shoot here!

We love real weddings!

Juliet and David’s beautiful North Carolina barn wedding was so lovely and sentimental. We love that their planner, BRV member Ashton Events, was even part of David’s proposal! See it here.

Joan and Matt’s sunny wedding was a special reminder to us of how meaningful weddings truly are. See it here.

The pastor at Lauren and Adam’s beautiful winter wedding told them to just say “I love you” to each other before saying their vows. Our hearts just about burst over this sweet moment! See it here.

Rachel and Zack’s glamorous wedding looks like it was so much fun, and we love that it blended city and country elements seamlessly. See it here.

Before heading out for the weekend…

We have a darling engagement session by Scott Hopkins on our Facebook page, so be sure to stop by and leave some love!

Speaking of engagement sessions, we are so honored to be mentioned in This Modern Romance, a new book that came out today! It’s by Stephanie Williams and is all about engagement sessions. Find it here!

Our Sandals honeymoon giveaway is still going strong! Be sure to comment by November 22 for a chance to win.

Happy weekend!
