Another month has gone by and it’s time for our Monthly Round-Up! Since our lineup has been full of V5 features, we’re highlighting our favorite real weddings from both October and November. Emily, Marissa, Kristin and our intern, Alexia are here with their picks!
FAVORITE WEDDING DRESS: Gorgeous wedding dresses are never in short supply! Alexia loved the tulle of Hannah’s gown, Marissa (our fashion expert) loved Leigh’s customized Monique Lhuillier dress. Emily might have been reminded of her own wedding dress when she laid eyes on Caroline’s lovely cap-sleeved gown. And for Kristin, it was Blair’s sparkly bubble-hemmed dress that won the vote.
FAVORITE BRIDESMAID DRESS: Hannah’s attendees stole Alexia’s heart again! Their aqua and seafoam dresses were fresh and fun. The deep jewel tones and stylish designs of Erin’s bridesmaids were a favorite of Emily’s and Kristin was taken with the preppy navy statements of Lisa’s ‘maids. It was the blush and bashful of Erin’s bridesmaids that Marissa fell in love with.
FAVORITE FEMALE ACCESSORY: The pretty flower hair wreath that Hannah donned on her big day was too sweet for Alexia to pass on. Marissa, on the other hand, was taken by the traditional monogrammed dress patch that Kelsey included. Emily was head over heels for Blair’s monogrammed veil and silver hairpiece (who wasn’t?!) and Kristin loved Leigh’s “I Do” Jimmy Choos that were signed by her bridesmaids.
FAVORITE MENSWEAR: Oh, our dapper gents! It was Garjae’s stylish grey suits and gingham bow tie that Kristin couldn’t resist! Those pink ties that his groomsmen donned were adorable, too! Alexia loved the old style and cotton husk boutonniere that Lander rocked. A handsome spin on traditional won Emily and Marissa over, first with Brian’s slim black suits and succulent boutonnieres and then with Brandon’s white dinner jacket.
FAVORITE DETAIL: These weddings are full of thoughtful (and plain pretty) details that we can’t get enough of. Alexia loved the bow tie-adorned bourbon bar at Kelsey + Brandon’s reception and Emily thought the glittery linens at Blair + Brian’s wedding were just the right amount of glam. For Marissa, the Mr. and Mrs. sign at Shannon + Griffin’s wedding was too cute. Kristin thought Michelle + Paul’s picnic reception was the perfect way to celebrate with friends and family.
FAVORITE CEREMONY: Beautiful ceremonies full of carefully crafted vows get to us every time! It was the merry flag setting of Lauren + Jeremy’s ceremony that Emily loved. Kristin thought Blair’s traditional church ceremony was too sweet, while Hannah + Christian’s stage ceremony took Marissa’s vote. For Alexia, the gorgeous tree-lined ceremony of Leigh + Lander was just lovely.
FAVORITE BOUQUET: The cactus pods mixed with fluffy pink blooms in Sarah’s bouquet was the perfect pick for Alexia! Marissa thought the white and glamorous bouquet that Blair carried down the aisle was gorgeous and Kristin was all over the succulent bouquets at Erin + Brian’s wedding. Emily loved the vine and beribboned bouquets carried by Caroline and her ‘maids.
FAVORITE SWEET: Emily was just smitted with the tulle-covered confection at Dianne + Garjae’s wedding. Kristin was taken the the whimsical and flowered cake that Hannah + Christian served. For Marissa, it was the peachy magnolia cake at Blair + Brian’s wedding that was too sweet for words and Alexia chose the preppy pink and navy cake at Lisa + Nick’s wedding.
FAVORITE PHOTO: These photos are too sweet! The happy balloons at Michelle + Paul’s ceremony were a favorite of Marissa’s. The emotional first dance photo from Erin + Brian’s wedding couldn’t be passed by Emily and the anticipation of Lauren + Jeremy’s beach first look won Alexia over. For Kristin, the adorable photo of Hannah and her flower girl was perfectly celebratory.
