Well, ain’t that somethin’, indeed! Here are some behind-the-scenes shots from one of our shoots with Jose Villa and Joy Thigpen. I would just like to add, that if I had put two and two together and realized that the probability that I would be photographed by Jose was extremely high, I would have remembered to put on some makeup the morning of the shoot. But, alas, moving on…

On the left, we have, from left to right, me, three lovely readers, and Katharine. On the right, we have Katharine, Moss Cow, me, Lara, Joy, Jose, Joel, and Britney, Joy’s assistant/our bride for the day.

A small sampling of goodies we were choosing from on the left, and a beautiful stationery suite by Stitch Design Co. on the right. The suite isn’t actually from the same story, but it’s super pretty and kind of goes, so we threw it into this post.

Gals, we just cannot wait for you to see our new cover. Srsly. It is bright and beautiful, and equally as stunning as V2 if we do say so ourselves. Which we just did.

Speaking of V2, we thought we’d take a little trip down memory lane for those of us who are just joining us. (Old-timers, bear with us. Or move on to the next post!).

She came to use from Elite Model Management. She ate red velvet cake (from Sweet Sensations!) and pizza during the shoot and was generally awesome. She also donned a succession of stunning gowns from Bridals by Lori.

Superstar (really) photographer Jeremy Cowart was the mastermind behind these images. Joy Thigpen, stylist extraordaire, was his right-hand lady. That jaunty little hairdo? All the work of Scoobie West, who we liked so much Katharine asked him up to Boston for her wedding.
