WHAT IS SOUTHERN WEDDINGS?
Southern Weddings Magazine is the South’s premier publication for the modern bride. Our mission is to inspire brides to cultivate a life full of love -- celebrating their families, the culture of the South, and what matters most to them -- and then to draw from that rich well to create a meaningful beginning to married life. We are the founders of The Sweet Tea Society and we believe in love! We also believe that the best marriages are the ones that are always growing.
WHAT IS THE SWEET TEA SOCIETY?
WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THE MAGAZINE?
Southern Weddings is distributed heavily throughout the Southeast and selectively throughout the rest of the country. We are carried by Target, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, Walgreens, and a heap of grocery stores including Harris Teeter, Food Lion, and Publix. If you can’t find a copy near you, you’re welcome to purchase one on our site. Back issues (when available) are also available for purchase in our shop!
I FELL IN LOVE WITH A PAIR OF SHOES ON YOUR SITE. DO YOU KNOW WHO THE DESIGNER IS OR WHERE I CAN BUY THEM?
In general, we include all of the information we have for a given blog feature in the post. However, if you have a question, please leave a comment on that particular post and an editor will do her best to track it down for you!
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WEDDINGS, ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS, AND SHOOTS FOR YOUR SITE?
We look for gorgeous photography, meaningful SOUTHERN details we’ve never seen before, and a sincere love story. We love featuring weddings with a diversity of budgets, aesthetics, skin colors, and family traditions! Please find more about our submission guidelines on this page.
WHAT THE HECK ARE V2, V3, ETC?
That’s just our way of referring to our print editions — V2, our second issue, premiered in November 2009; V3 in October 2010; V4 on October 25, 2011; V5 on November 13, 2012; V6 on November 12, 2013; and V7 on November 4, 2014. V10 is slated for newsstand release on November 9, 2017!
I’M DYING FOR MORE! WHEN WILL THE NEXT ISSUE OF SOUTHERN WEDDINGS HIT NEWSSTANDS?
Our tenth anniversary issue of Southern Weddings (a.k.a. V10) will debut on newsstands around the country on November 9, 2017! Until then, follow the creation of this issue via hashtags #MakingSouthernWeddings and #SouthernWeddings10 on Instagram!

WHAT IS THE HONEY LIST AND HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
The Honey List is a destination review source within the Southern Weddings site. Our editors use it to share their experiences at properties within the South and around the world that they think would make perfect destinations for our brides’ honeymoons. If you have a property you think we should know about, please get in touch with Kristin.
I WOULD LOVE TO WORK WITH Y’ALL. ARE YOU HIRING?
We are not currently hiring. We do on occasion offer internships, and when we do, we always post the openings and application details on our blog. If you’re interested in a job in weddings in general, we suggest you take a look at Wedding Industry Jobs, a great job board geared towards the wedding industry.
WHO ARE YOUR SOUTHERN BRIDE BLOGGERS?
The Southern Bride Bloggers are a collection of blogs written by our engaged readers (see them all here!). If you would like to be listed, please send Lisa the following information: your name, your blog address, and your wedding date. We simply ask that you be engaged, that you write about planning your own wedding at least once a week, and that you be either Southern or planning a Southern wedding!

DO YOU GIVE PREFERENCE TO ADVERTISERS IN FEATURES?
No, but we do screen our advertisers based on their quality of work, so many of them are featured on the SW blog and in the print edition. We welcome ANYONE to submit weddings. We love getting submissions from up-and-comers as well as seasoned pros and are always excited to meet new-to-us vendors. We look forward to getting to know you!
