    I wish that when I looked at the gallery, I could more clearly see the captions for the pictures… Sometimes, the words are rightttt on the edge of the lace scroll bar. :( In other news, the new site is absolutely LOVELY girls!! :)

Handmade Find :: Pretty Swell

by in Personal on

My love for bunting in all shapes and sizes is well documented on SW and Peach & Pearl. Need proof? Just check out my sister’s wedding. (Don’t worry, she likes it, too!)

No big surprise, then, that I fell in love with everything Pretty Swell the minute I happened upon their shop!

The fabric flower garlands are completely customizable, and even their color selection is pretty to look at!

I also adore one of their newer offerings, the fabric flower cake toppers. Again, the colors are fully customizable, and quite reasonably priced at $15 for 6 — the perfect number to create a small grove on top of your next cake!

Interested in seeing more? Check out their shop right here. Until next week!

Ho, ho, ho! It’s that time again! Time for the SW ladies’ annual Christmas photo with Santa, that is. Why yes, we do gather our whole office and arrive at the mall with festive attire in tow. Why yes, we do wait in line with mothers and small children. Why yes, we do sit on Santa’s lap. And the result?

Brilliant. In case you’re not familiar with our smiling faces, that’s Assistant Editor Whitney, Editor in Chief Lara, Intern Sierra, Intern Nicole, Art Director Emily, and Managing Editor Katharine from left to right. The only gal not pictured in Marissa, who joins in the SW fun remotely from Florida. Love you, Marissa!

Also, following tradition, we wanted to share our Christmas wish lists with you. In case, you know, anyone out there’s feeling generous :)

Lara wants a geek on-call to fix all of our technology woes, blank canvases to paint, and a Smilebooth for the office.

Katharine wants candy. Lots and lots of candy. In large bulk quantities, naturally. (Note from KTW: I think my Amazon wish list sums it up best. A pair of my very favorite running shoes should help minimize the effects of the rest of my list. Right?)

Emily wants a parka, a pair of Jack Rogers sandals in platinum, and Frye boots. (If you’ve been around for awhile, you may recall that she wished for them last year, too…)

Whitney wants a Michael Kors tortoiseshell watch, a Kate Spade iPhone cover, an Ann Taylor silver pump and world peace, per usual.

Nicole wants a plane ticket to Japan where her Marine boyfriend is stationed, a new bookcase from Ikea (hers is doing a nice impression of the Leaning Tower of Pisa right now), and a Flip video camera.

Sierra wants a warm jacket to replace her unflattering puffy coat, a pair of designer jeans and Lucky Brand boots.

What are you wishing for this Christmas, dear readers?

    YES! Another fan of peachy penguins! Katharine, my best friend’s mom used to work at a Barrel Grocer candy store, and I used to get these there ALL the time. The store is no longer, but my best friend manages to find them for me every so often and gets me a huge bag. I always feel horrible after I eat them…but they’re so worth it ;)
