Anyone who know our Kristin Winchester knows how much she LOVES marriage. It is truly her heart of hearts, and she is always encouraging the rest of us to keep the importance of marriage at the forefront of our minds as we work on Southern Weddings. I was curious to know what her very favorite thing about marriage is, and was delighted when she shared her answer for V7!

I love being married because it allows me the freedom to be exactly who I am, and to be loved unconditionally as is–without reason or expectation. This means that I have someone who loves my good, my bad, and my quirky. In return, it allows me the opportunity to offer KPW the same safe space to be loved and known–no strings attached. It allows me the the chance to not be afraid to be the one who loves the most, because I know that Kyle abides by the same philosophy.

I love your philosophy Kristin! It’s true, our hubbies are the ones who get to experience it all. I’m comforted that my hubby knows all sides of me and loves me anyway!

Ever since our team retreat, we have been antsy with excitement about unveiling one of the biggest plans we made. For weeks now, we’ve been dreaming up a way to embrace all of the best things about summer in the South, cultivating our relationships with our beaus, families, friends, and communities all the while. Be sure to check in first thing on Monday to learn all about it, and find out how you can get involved, too!

See more from this engagement session by Landon Hendrick on our Facebook page!

In case you missed it this week…

We unveiled the newly renovated Southern Weddings office here and on Style Me Pretty Living!
Our friend and Blue Ribbon Vendor, Jacin, shared her favorite thing about marriage with us.
We shared our favorite fabric and ribbon sources on Southern Weddings TV.
We’re looking for reader models in Richmond, Virginia! Find more info here.

Stefanie and Kevin‘s wedding included so many meaningful military wedding traditions.
Ellie and Nick focused on showing hospitality to their guests at their Florida wedding.
Monica and Jerrod‘s wedding combined bright, feminine details with an industrial space.
Lina and Mario loved the venue they chose for their romantic, rustic wedding.

We couldn’t even begin to count the number of times we’ve heard that, out of all their vendors, brides are most happy that they hired a videographer to capture their wedding days. We’re not surprised! A wedding film can help you and you groom re-live your special day in such a unique way for years to come, and for our readers in North Carolina and beyond, we’re lucky to have our Blue Ribbon Vendor Twenty-One Films to share with y’all. Twenty-One Films is a passionate team of filmmakers and editors, and they believe in creating authentic films that tell the true story of your wedding day. In each of their films, they aim to connect to the hearts of their viewers, and the care they put into everything they do is so evident. You can learn more about Twenty-One Films on their website and in their Blue Ribbon Vendor profile!

Have a wonderful weekend!
