We have something a little different than our typical wedding films today, but I know y’all are going to love it! These pictures and video were a combined effort by photographer Brett Heidebrecht and videographer Pen Weddings, and the concept behind them is such a fantastic idea for sharing original vows outside of a ceremony. Not to mention, it made for an extra meaningful engagement shoot!

Our couple, Jessica and JP, wanted to write their own vows, but they were nervous that they would become super emotional during the ceremony and wouldn’t make it through them. So, they approached us about doing a love story that would convey what they wanted to say to one another. I asked them if they would be interested in doing a more literal interpretation of their idea and I’m so happy they were on board with my vision. They each wrote their vows, recorded them separately, and sent them to me. I then planned the shoot around these vows that only I had seen. The film played at their reception, which was when they heard one another’s personal vows for the first time.
