Even though we featured a whole bunch of surcees on Tuesday, we have one more for you today! This one definitely embodies a thoughtful gift given unexpectedly or for no reason — one of my favorite kinds!

Says Amber Housley, the designer and stylist:

I love this time of year because the packaging and supplies in stores are in such cheerful hues! These take-out boxes from World Market in wide range of Easter egg inspired colors would make perfect vessels for a sweet treat such as these confetti pretzels. You can whip up a large batch of these in no time at all, and they’ll make a great gift for your spring gatherings and friends.

What you’ll need:
— large snack-size pretzels
— white vanilla candy melting chips
— candy confetti sprinkles
— mixing bowl
— cookie sheet, lined with wax paper
— microwave or double boiler to melt the vanilla candy chips
— colorful take-out boxes and stuffing to gift the finished pretzels (in addition to World Market, we like checking out the Container Store, Michaels, and Target for fun vessels! Online, Shop Sweet Lulu is a treasure trove!)

Step 1: Melt the candy chips in a bowl by using the microwave and stirring every 30 seconds or using a double boiler until chips are melted.

Step 2: Dip the pretzels until covered then hold over bowl, allowing the excess coating to drip off.

Step 3: Place the pretzels on the wax paper covered cookie sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle with candy confetti as desired then place sheet in refrigerator for at least 15 minutes or until set.

Step 4: Carefully pull pretzels up from wax paper and package in take-out box containers for gift giving!

Amber Housley is a delightful member of our Blue Ribbon Vendor Directory!

I am so excited for this weekend, y’all! My sister is coming back home from Nashville (and bringing her pug!) to go to her wedding dress fitting and to talk about all things paper for the big day with me. Aside from snuggling with her dog, I’m looking forward to more face time with her and family dinners. What will y’all be doing?

In case y’all haven’t heard, we’re hiring! We’d love to welcome another talented member to the team. Be sure to take a look at this page for application details as well as qualifications.

It’s that time of year, y’all! We’re searching for the first few reader models to be cast in V6! In the Chapel Hill area? Take a look at this post.

Our Southern Surcees feature from V5 is one of our favorites to look back on! How could you not be smitten with all these adorable items? Perfect for gift-giving, your new home or for finding an excuse to use your new married monogram.

Real Weddings take the cake!

Chanda + David’s classic Southern wedding stole our hearts. We love that Chanda decided to wear her late mother’s veil down the aisle. See it here.

Eddie + Jordan’s wedding from V5 was “unpretentious, fun-loving and perfect!” We adore how the couple made their big day beautiful, but full of details that were approachable. See it here and here.

Happy news to start the weekend!

I Do Couture in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is hosting a trunk show for Sareh Nouri this weekend! On Friday and Saturday, Sareh will be making a designer appearance at the trunk show to meet and consult with brides. Take a look at Sareh’s site here to view her gorgeous gowns and click on over to I Do Couture’s site for event details.

We are so thrilled for all the belles and beaus getting married this weekend! Big hugs go out to all of you, including our Southern Bride Bloggers Megan and Brittany (who said “I do” last week!).

Before you go, make sure to check out our Facebook Friday! Nyk + Cali are sharing a sweet engagement session with us.

Have a great weekend, my dears!

Our amazingly-talented Blue Ribbon Vendors are cropping up faster than spring blooms! We love to hear when y’all are able to work together, so if you’ve hired any of these fine folk, be sure to let us know in the comments!

At JoPhoto, the experience you have taking your photos — fun and natural — is the same as the aesthetic of your final images — fun and natural. They are based in Knoxville, TN.

To me, Merari Photography means crisp, colorful images filled with gorgeous light — but that don’t take themselves too seriously. She is based in Miami, Florida.

The ladies of Morgan Gallo Events have a flexible style that allows them to create weddings that are unique celebrations of their couples’ individual love stories and styles. They are based in Savannah.

Having met Valerie of Sapphire Events in person, I can attest that New Orleans brides are lucky to have her! With a background in law, she would be a calm, thoughtful partner throughout the wedding planning process.

Sarah, of Sarah Tucker Events, is the sweetest gal, and that quality seeps into her work, too — sweet, personal affairs that reflect her couples. She is based in Bradenton, Florida.

Susan Graham and her clients have a classic style marked by grace and hospitality and grace — perfect for Southern brides. Susan Graham Events is located in Atlanta.

Sweet Tea Photography incorporates elements of fine art, editorial, and journalistic techniques while capturing the excitement of a couple on their wedding day. She is based in Washington, DC.

Watson Studios describes their style as “beautiful, spirited, and candid,” and I couldn’t agree more! They are based in Knoxville, TN.

Vinewood Plantation, in Newnan, GA, truly seems like the best of both worlds — a historic property with heritage and Southern charm, but one that’s been renovated to accommodate modern amenities and conveniences. Win-win!

Still on the hunt for your perfect Southern wedding vendors? Check out our whole crop here! Vendors, if you’re interested in applying, please fill out this form and we’ll be in touch!
