Weekly Round Up

by in Main on

Hello dear friends! As always, I’m happy to be wrapping up another week with y’all and reviewing all the splendid features that appeared on the blog since Monday. I’m even more excited that I get to do so from the pretty interiors of our newly painted office! Emily and Lara, with impeccable taste, picked a soft blue that’s like a breath of fresh air every time we walk in — well, once you get past the lingering paint fumes. But let’s move on to wedding things, because we presented a lot of goodies this week!

Emily provided us with her answer to an important etiquette question: Should non-wedding-guests be invited to the bridal shower? She came down firmly on one side, but would you do the same? Go to the original post and give us your input!

We have officially sold out of our third and latest issue, V3! We can’t wait to share V4 with y’all, so be on the lookout for behind the scenes posts on upcoming shoots. Until we drop the latest issue in September, we’re going to spend some time looking back on our favorite spreads from V3. If that’s not enough to hold you over, we still have some V2s left!

The photographers at J. Layne Photography were determined to get out of the usual rut that beach weddings fall into. They came up with a bright and happy sunrise shoot that’s so pretty it made me want to get up early every morning!

In the South, we are steeped with tradition. A huge part of what we love about Southern weddings is the story aspect behind the little details couples choose to include in their day. Lara already knows that if she and Ari had a vow renewal, their tables would be lined with dewberry jam! Tell us what your love story is and the special meaning behind the details you’re including in your wedding. A lucky commenter could win a ring bearer bowl from Paloma’s Nest!

Sierra was hard at work updating our Real Wedding Galleries. This week’s featured gallery was Shannon + Chris. We’re smitten with their preppy-chic soiree!

I’m head over heels with this week’s Real Weddings!

Katie + Charlie played up calm and cool in their Florida wedding — so much that I wanted to jump into the photos and celebrate with them! See it here and here.

Emily + Brian woke us up with pops of cobalt blue in their South Carolina wedding. We love their reception for including a game of corn hole! See it here and here.

Claire + Brian showed us the perfect way to make a wedding feel like a comfy dinner party. Their garden wedding was personal and authentic to the couple. See it here and here.

Brides in and around Dallas: Tiffany Gifford, the celebrity stylist who worked with Miranda Lambert for her wedding, will work with brides in Priscilla of Boston’s Dallas, Texas salon on June 25 and 26. She will help brides pick their gown and accessories as well as offer styling tips to look perfect on their wedding day. An appointment is necessary, so go to Priscilla of Boston’s site to schedule one!

A sweetheart of a photo before you leave:

See more from this fantastic and fun wedding on the Heart Explosions blog.

Happy weekending, y’all!
