Google+ Details: Kate + Cormac, Part V - Southern Weddings

Southern Weddings

Thank you all so much for letting me share my sister’s wedding! My entire family (and many of our friends) had a hand in putting it together, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. After all the lugging of endless crates of wine, the frantic phone calls between Minnesota, Connecticut, North Carolina, Maine, and back again, and the whole getting-up-at-5-am-the-morning-of-the-wedding thing, it was definitely all worth it. As a final gift to Kate and Cormac, my boyfriend John and I made them this film from the week. It’s not quite up to the standard we usually feature on SW, but it definitely, I think, captures the heart behind the day. Enjoy!

P.S. Since I know not all of you necessarily care about the family vacation/getting ready parts, feel free to skip ahead to 3:53 for the start of the wedding weekend or 6:00 for the morning of the wedding!

Emily, I love this!! How sweet of you and your boyfriend to make this, and I loved seeing how everything came together. From the cases of Blue Moon (my favorite!) on the boat, to the fast-motion decorating of the tent and the adorable fist-bump between the best man & ring bearer, it showed how everyone they love was involved in making their special day happen. So sweet.

So much fun! Kate + Cormac are so lucky to have that video- it’s so much fun to watch it months later, I cannot imagine what it will be like for them to watch it years later. Good job, John & Emily!

[…] My second highlight would have to be my sister’s wedding. Again, magical doesn’t really begin to cut it. Time with my family has become increasingly precious as I’ve gotten older, and we were so lucky to be able to spend 10 full days with each other getting ready for the wedding in our favorite place in the world. I wrote five posts on the SW blog about Kate and Cormac’s big day — check them out here, here, here, here, and here. […]
