My ABSOLUTE favorites are the COCKTAIL HOUR Wedding Invitations. These fit our wedding, because it’s very lighthearted and fun with LOTS of personality and character. The invitations are bold and not traditional and we would love to have them!

I fell in love with Minted’s Cocktail Hour yellow and gray invitations months ago when I stumbled across their website. That invitation sparked my creative juices and two inspiration boards later, things are starting to come together. The fresh, modern, classic vibe these invitations give out are sure to lure your guests in from the moment they receive the envelope in the mail. :) I would LOVE to win 50 of these invitations for my wedding!

I love the Georgian Wedding suite! I plan on getting married in the first Catholic church, St. Peter’s, that was built in my hometown of Memphis, TN. It has a very old word feel with Gothic ceilings, columns, huge stained glass windows, and a gorgeous altar. Our reception is going to be at The Pink Palace which is a beautiful mansion that is now a museum to go along with our "old", antique feel. And, we are going to have the bridal luncheon at the Hunt Phelan house in town. It is an old mansion that was a Civil War headquarters. It’s rumored that the capture of Vicksburg was planned in that very library! I think the invitations would match my wedding perfectly!!!!

I love the Fling invites (http://www.minted.com/customizer/sku/MIN-FLN-INV) — they were actually the start of my color scheme & theme for my wedding!

My fiancé and I were recently engaged and we have been having so much fun working on (and daydreaming about!) our wedding next June. We are so excited to be getting married in Chapel Hill. I graduated from UNC and Graham has lived here is whole life (minus a few years working on boats in Seattle). When we first started thinking about our wedding we tossed around a couple of different places, but nothing felt as right as the place we both call home. We can’t wait to invite many of my family members who haven’t seen where I have been living for the past 6 years, and show them our little piece of Heaven Graham and I want to have a sweet backyard ceremony (followed by a fantastically fun reception at a location tbd ). We can’t wait to be surrounded by the people we love as we make our vows to each other. Our goal is to have as many DIY projects as possible (without going insane ) and showcase a lot of our local food, flowers, finds etc! Graham and I have been looking at the MINTED site a lot lately, because after reading your blog (daily) I have been loving perusing (procrastinating my schoolwork) all of the sites that you feature. The other day, we found the “lovely knot” suite and we fell in love. The colors sunshine and gray are exactly what we are hoping to feature at our wedding, and the “tying the knot” theme is perfect for two people crazy about boats and water. Graham has spent his summers in Castine, Maine since he was born, and I have been lucky enough to go with him for the past 2 years. Our first summer, he spent hours teaching me how to tie proper knots so that I could be helpful on the family sailboat. We are hoping to tie some kind of “knoty” (sounds like naughty! Hah) theme into our wedding. Our wedding photographer, and college friend, Meredith from & Unlimited (www.andunlimited.com) is located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and she will be shooting our engagement pictures there this summer. We hope to capture some shots near the water and boats and think they would go perfectly with the “lovely knot” wedding invitation suite from Minted. Thank you so much Southern Weddings for all of your fun and extremely helpful wedding inspiration!Much love,Samantha and GrahamChapel Hill, North Carolina

I LOVE the Cocktail Hour Invites, our colors are Yellow/Pink/Gray/White so these fit perfectly! Also, we’re having a simple wedding with cocktail attire. I also really like the Modern Tweed and The Happy Couple as well. Thanks for the site, I’m definitely checking them out!

I love the midnight vineyard collection, which is perfect! for our upcoming November nuptials at dusk, in beautiful Virginia wine country. We are envisioning hanging votives, lanterns, and floating candles to frame the ceremony site and then mounds of candles at different heights for each table. So romantic and lovely–these invitations are beautiful and I love Minted, as they did our postcard save the dates–

  10. avatar Ashley L reply

I love the script monogram wedding invitations. They are so classic and sophisticated. They would be perfect for my country club wedding!

  11. avatar Kris B reply

My favorite invitation collection is the French Vintage in creme brulee. We are having our wedding in New Orleans, and it will have a vintage theme with blush, pale peach, creme and antique gold accents — so I feel like this invitation collection matches our location and colors perfectly!

  12. avatar Kate reply

SWM, you read my mind! I have been totally stalking the Ornamental design by paperview designs for a month now. The sapphire blue is such a gorgeous color — the same color as my bridesmaids’ dresses and my "something blue" shoes. I love that the "ornamental" details is both a fun touch, but also very elegant looking at the same time. Fun but sophisticated — that’s exactly the look we’re going for at our vineyard wedding! Thanks for this great give-away, Minted!!

  13. avatar joey reply

I LOVE the Cocktail Hour Invites! Even the colors that are displayed are the ones that we’ll be using for our wedding!! Meant to be? I think so!!

  14. avatar Charles reply

My fiance talks about MINTED all the time and how much she loves their invites! It would mean so much to the both of us if we won this giveaway! The Sweet Linen collection seems perfect!! It is very traditional and vintage with a touch of modern and creative. Thanks SWM!!

  15. avatar Marlow reply

Fireflies would be perfect!!!!!!!! Our save the date was just a simple mason jar with a gorgeous font so I would DIE for this invite!! Well, maybe not die…but I might. Love Love Love it!

  16. avatar Jovi reply

^^Thats my fiance Charles up there!!! :D I am so thankful to have a future hubby to be that cares so much about the things that I like! As recent college graduates we are unable to afford the wedding of my dreams but we know that what really matters are the vows that we’ll be taking next summer. I absolutely love Minted’s wedding collection. All of the designs are SO unique and truely special. Any couple would be so lucky to win one of these designs for their wedding day, but I do hope it is me! The Happy Couple Invites are soo soo me. I’ve always been girly, but not over the top, which is exactly what I think these invites scream. Come to our wedding and have fun! nothing too pretentious :) Thanks Minted and SWM for this chance to win!

As you read through these comments, I have but one plea: pretty pretty please pick me!!!!Sincerely, A Hopeful Bride-To-Be

  21. avatar Bess reply

Minted was the first site I went to when looking for invitations. I fell in love with the Oak Tree Wedding invites by Annie Clark because our wedding will be on a Southern Plantation with Live Oaks and Spanish Moss all around. Those would set the mood for the guests before they even arrive. We are using cotton bolls, magnolia branches and burlap & cream table drapes, so the beige invite and brown font would tie it all together. Best wishes to the lucky bride who receives this wonderful give away!

  22. avatar V reply

    Acanthus Monogram Invitations!

  23. avatar Ray reply

Wow! So many choices. I just love Minted. The design that "speaks" to me everytime that I visit their site is the Winter Flourish!

  24. avatar Sarah reply

I love the Charming go Lightly wedding invitations. They are the perfect combination of classic and modern, represented in the duogram at top and the beautiful classic script used for the names. Our wedding is on a Southern Country club in Charleston SC that mixes both the classic and modern. The whole city, where we met, fell in love and will be married, actually represent hints of classical and modern mixed in one. These invitations are a perfect way to set the stage for our Southern Soiree in ‘our’ perfect city of Charleston, SC!

  25. avatar Leah reply

I absolutely love the Fireflies design! The night we got engaged we were standing in a field full of about a million fireflies so these are just perfect! I might even have to get these if I don’t win!

My Fiance and I both love the Winter flourish invites, they are classy yet contemporary and they look great in green which is one of our colors. We also love the modern look of the cocktail hour invites! We’re having an outdoor wedding in the late summer and both of these give a relaxed yet classy feel!

  29. avatar Randi Erin reply

Charming Go Lightly would be so perfect for our March Plantation wedding in Thomasville, Georgia! We love the mix of the script and the bold type. Even the name is perfect, because I’m walking down the aisle to Moon River!

I am in love with the Willow Tree wedding invites :) I had already shown my fiance (he’s currently deployed to Iraq) a bunch of invites, and he liked most of them, but then I found the Willow Tree invite and it’s so perfect! (I actually got so excited when I found it, I fell in love with an invite!) We were looking for something modern and whimsical, and something we could tie in to our wedding. I’ve always loved willow trees – they’re so pretty, one is actually right outside of my parent’s house where I grew up! We’d love to tie in the willow tree look by having flowers hanging upside down in a few key spots at our ceremony and reception!

  31. avatar Heather reply

I adore the "Pearls on a String" invites. We are having a beachy wedding and this invitation suite evokes waves and water without being over the top ocean themed. This invitation is a perfect preview for our guests about what kind of amazing views and ambiance our wedding will have in store.Thank you!!

  32. avatar Chelsea reply

I have been on the Minted website several times and just keep coming back to the destination wedding invitations! They are perfect for my wedding in Louisville, Kentucky next summer because people will be coming from all over (both driving and flying) to join my fiance and I on our special day! It will be most of my friends and family’s first time in the city so I love the idea of getting everyone excited about coming down and seeing Louisville. I also love the fun and vibrant colors on the invitation!

  33. avatar Kelly reply

Bibliotheque is perfect for our wedding because it ties all of our components together. We’re having a vintage-themed wedding which also incorporates old paper ephemera and antique books.

  34. avatar bonnie reply

I was planning on making my own invitations since I’m an avid photoshop user, but when I saw the Block Print Waves invitations i fell in love. my fiance and i are getting married on the beach, but we don’t want a beach themed wedding with shells and starfish, etc. we want a more relaxed, southern beach bbq event and these invites are PERFECT!

  35. avatar Amber reply

Wow! So many gorgeous designs. But the one that fits my wedding best is Clavel. The simple flower is feminine and sweet but not too much. The typography is gorgeous – from the invitation to the information cards to the reply cards. And the dark red matches my color perfectly. Our wedding is modern, simple and makes a quiet impact – just like this suite!

  36. avatar Jessica reply

Ohboy-ohboy-ohboy-OHBOY! My eyes are drawn immediately to the most expensive suites (go figure). But after a few more glances, I begin to fall in love with "Stem Striate" in pewter by Stacey Day. I am swooning over it actually. I am loving that the fiance likes it too, woohoo!

  37. avatar Okeoma reply

I think the Grand Palais would be perfect for my Vintage Costa Rican Beach Wedding! I just love the combination of the vintage look with the light summer color choices.

  38. avatar Kristin reply

I love the midnight vineyard invite! It’s perfect for so many types of events. I am from northern CA but getting married in NYC so it seems like the perfect invite!

  39. avatar Jackie reply

I love the Happy Couple Wedding Invitations because the handwritten script spelling out the names reminds me of a telephone line. We had a long distance relationship and the best communication was endless text messages in between phone calls. Thanks for the giveaway!

  40. avatar Claire reply

I would love to have the Oak Tree invitations. I would actually love to use them for our rehearsal dinner because it will be on a farm where there are a few large oak trees scattered aboutt he property. I love nature and with my fiance growing up in the country and my southern roots, this invitation would be perfect for us.

  41. avatar Adrienne Hall reply

  42. avatar Beth Becherer reply

I love anything by Annie Clark! While browsing their site, anytime a design caught my eye it was hers! And I love the minted site! So much great eye candy!

  43. avatar Niki D. reply

I love the Spanish Lace. Contemporary designs always tempt me, I remember the beautiful invitation my parents had framed from their wedding years ago. There’s something to be said about a timeless, classic invitation to a wedding in which a couple pledges their love and trade vows to love until death do them part.

  44. avatar TB reply

Wow! What a fabulous collection of papers and stationary. Well, we just looked through the collection and I have to say our favorite is most definitely La Fete. I’m such a kitschy, antique loving girl from the south and Josh is a brilliant artist; this set (La Fete) really matches our personalities. The mustard yellow matches this fabulous pair of vintage shoes I am planning to wear and even matches the 1920s Moroccan home we are planning on using as the venue. How fabulous! Thanks for posting minted’s collection! I’ll be sure to pass this link along.

  45. avatar Emily B. reply

I adore the Fling invitation set. The colors are the exact colors I’ve chosen and match perfectly to the vintage fabric I bought to make napkins for my Spring reception. Thanks for this fabulous giveaway.

  46. avatar David S reply

The Grand Palais invites would be great for us. Style and color scheme match our wedding and bring a touch of class that is a good balance of my fiancee and my tastes.

I absolutely adore the Cocktail Hour or the Destination Wedding invites. I have been drooling over Minted’s wedding sets for a long while and would be in absolute heaven if we could catch a break on some of our destination wedding costs, ha.

  49. avatar Kerry reply

It’s hard to choose between the Fall Carving Collection, and the Fireflies Collection. I LOVE them both!! Both would be perfect for our outdoor, rustic wedding. If i had to pick just one… it would be the Fall Carving. It adds our personality! (Crossing my fingers!!)

  50. avatar Jenny reply

The fireflies design is my favorite. One time my fiance and i went to this place in Shanghai known for their fireflies and we took a boat ride in the dark just to look at them. beautiful!

  58. avatar Susannah reply

  59. avatar Lisa reply

I absolutely love the Dark Denim destination wedding invitation. It would be perfect for our Hawaii destination wedding!

  60. avatar Stephanie reply

The Fireflies Wedding Invitations are my favorite. They go perfectly with our wedding theme. We’re trying to create a very woodsy, fairytale type feeling, while still keeping the entire vibe very laid back… something like a great gathering of friends and family on a ranch type feel.

  61. avatar Carla Martinez reply

WOW! What an amazing giveaway! I LOVE the COCKTAIL HOUR Wedding Invitations. They are perfect for our contemporary NYC rooftop wedding.

  62. avatar Stacey reply

I ADORE both the sweet summer and summerfield suites! First, we are getting married in the summer, outside on a farm. My father is a sunflower farmer who is growing the flowers for the wedding- so either of these suites would fit perfectly into our country wedding! As a final kicker, we will be getting married on my grandfathers 90th birthday, and his last name is Sweet, so how sweet would it be to have a "Sweet Summer" wedding "Suite?!"

  63. avatar nina reply

Love the "Fall Carving" invitations! It’s perfect for us because we’re getting married in the fall and wherever we go, we write NB + RK in the sand, snow, etc. and snap a picture!

  64. avatar Judith reply

I really love the happy couple website. I really wanted to use hand lettering but don’t know anyone who has a unique handwriting! It’s fun, it not traditional and I think those are details we want at our wedding. 5/27/2011

  65. avatar Kristin reply

I can’t decide between Maria Antoinette or Romantic Glamour. We have peacocks at our venue so an obvious choice would be Marie Antoinette but the more I look at them I think Romantic Glamour better represents the entire theme! They are all so beautiful, this would be the coolest prize ever!

  66. avatar Tracy reply

There are so many lovely designs to choose from! But I think my top two picks would have to be the Fireflies design because it is just perfect for a summer wedding, which ours will be or the Ornamental wedding invite because it goes perfectly with the design of my dress!

  67. avatar Harmony S. reply

I love the Happy Couple. Simple yet charming. Perfect at our DIY wedding in an art gallery in Portland, Oregon.

  68. avatar megan reply

I LOVE the dotti wedding suite. It fits my wedding perfectly. Our colors are black and white with red and aqua, the invite comes in pool and cardinal. Perfect! Plus, our theme is a very rockabilly/pinup/50s feel with lots and lots of polka dots. Also perfect! I was in the process of designing our own invites because I couldn’t find some that fit what we wanted, and the ones I designed look really similar to these.

  69. avatar Kate C reply

Love the fireflies in mason jars. Couldn’t be more perfect for us!

  70. avatar Katrina reply

we aren’t having a destination wedding invitation. but our wedding location is set in california, with a map/travel theme. which only makes "a faraway destination wedding invitation" more than PERFECT. LOVE IT!

  73. avatar Jennifer reply

My fiance and I just got engaged this past month! We are planning for an early summer wedding for 2011. Believe it or not we have already chosen a wedding venue! I’m still in graduate school so we wanted to make sure we did the important things before I get busy with school again. We both went to school at Cornell University, a place known for its green efforts and farmers markets. We wanted to celebrate how important we find these things and support locally grown farmers by finding a catering hall that specializes in organic, locally grown produce! The Carved tree save the date would be perfect for us, It represents us as a couple, wanting to treat the environment well but not settling for ugly invitations and save the dates. This is a great giveaway. Thank you!

  74. avatar Barbara reply

This is perfect timing, we are searching for affordable invitations and here they are! I love the Fun Dotty Border it is the perfect combination of modern clean lines and flirty fun. Thank you!

  79. avatar Jenn reply

This giveaway is a dream for me- I have had the fireflies Suite in my inspiration file since B and I first got engaged! This design is so simply sweet; everytime I see it I picture my fiance and I out on the patio overlooking the vineyards where we will be married watching the (you guessed it) fireflies together under the twinkly lights. It totally matches the "feel" of our wedding day- a casual, breezy Saturday in July, an outdoor ceremony, fields and fields of vineyards, and mason jars filled with wildflowers lining the aisle. I love everything about it! Thanks for sharing such a fabulous giveaway. :)

  80. avatar Lauren reply

My favorite is Headline invitation by elum.. it perfectly fits our wedding theme at the Postcard Inn of kitschy and fun as well as pretty retro & has such a concert feel to them. I just love them and would absolutely love to win!!Thanks!

  83. avatar Naima reply

I love the Lemon Drop invitation suite!! Our colors are navy blue & yellow (with turquoise and white accents), and since we plan to use lemons as decorations, it’s a perfect tie-in.

  84. avatar Kathryn reply

Oh, Minted. I’ve whiled away many an hour staring at their website, desperately trying to narrow my decisions down. I’m marrying my best friend at a garden venue with our closest family and friends next May Day, so I chose the Prairie Flower invites. I love that they are eco-friendly and the texture looks divine. The fact that they come in pink helps a lil’ bit. ;)

  85. avatar Sarah reply

The Heart Print Wedding Invitations were so simple and likable. The pink and green color combo fit our wedding colors perfectly. The invite is both fun and romatic, exactly what we are going for!

  86. avatar Elly reply

I am enamored of the "the happy couple" design. It’s so simple, sweet, and fun. I love it especially of its understated playfulness It reminds me of little kids :). I think this would fit my fiance and I perfectly because we actually knew each other from elementary school, and both still have very childlike spirits. We didn’t start dating until my senior year of college, but we always make fun of how we must have secretly liked each other as 7 year-olds. We’re getting married on March 19, 2011, in a garden, with a reception dinner and a "happily ever after to follow."

  87. avatar Jessica reply

My favorite is the Fall carving! It is so adorable and fits perfectly with our fall theme. Our save the date cards were modeled after the Giving tree and so this falls perfectly in line with what we are going with. We are getting married in November with hopes that the beautiful colors of nature will give us plently of decoration. I would love to win these invites! May the best bride to be win! Good Luck to all!

  88. avatar Correy S reply

There is a terrible dilemma… I am head-over-heels for so many of the products on the Minted website. I’ve customized dozens of invites, save-the-dates, and rehearsal dinner invites by creating my own account on their site. it turns out, my favorite is from the Modern Geometric Group’s Holiday Cards (customized of course to include our own phtots & our wedding details)! Lucky for me, i can use more than one of their designs because I have a huge wedding shower planned for next summer, months before my actual wedding on october 22, 2011. I’m dying to use the Wedding Flourish Wedding Invitations for our big summer soiree invitations. They are eclectic yet elegant at the same time. <3 <3correy stonercorrey_stoner@live.com10-22-2011

  89. avatar Grace K. reply

The Courtney Wedding Invitations suite by Wiley Valentine goes beautifully with our wedding theme and monogram. We’re using the plus sign as our motif since my fiance is an engineer and I’m an elementary school teacher. Entwined circles are the background for a lot of the elements in our wedding design because it brings out our dating and engagement story. The circles represent coming "full circle"…having been close friends since middle school (we’re at 10 years past high school now!) and having considered dating right after college but deciding that the timing wasn’t right…all the way to where we are today, preparing to exchange our "I do’s" in front of family and friends. This wedding invitation suite is not only in our wedding color (royal purple), has the plus sign in the monogram, but it also has an intricate circle design on all the paper backings! It’s as if this invitation suite was made for us! Thank you, Minted, for such amazing designers!

  90. avatar Stefanie reply

I love the fireflies design! I even voted for them in the design challenge contest!! LOVE IT!!

My fiance and I have been eyeing up The Happy Couple wedding invitations in Dark Yellow for the last couple weeks. We recently found our color inspiration on an inspiration board we found on the Flights of Fancy website (colors are sage, burlap and persimmon). I think the Dark Yellow would look very nice with our colors!

  94. avatar Amy reply

The red peony wedding invitations in yellow and gray would be perfect for our 4/30/2011 wedding!! They’re beautiful and modern with just the right amount of Asian aestethic to pull in my fiance’s (who’s Chinese) heritage without being over the top.

  97. avatar Colleen reply

Oh where do I start. I absolutely LOVE them all!!! Just to name a few, ok several, Fall Carving, Block Print Waves, Coral, Bloom, Lemon Drop, Summer Lanterns, Edenbridge, Garland, Dotti Wedding, Michelle. Either Summer Lanterns or Michelle Wedding Invitations would best suit our lovely little Key West, Florida Wedding. We will be having a garden ceremony during sunset at an adorable Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Old Town Key West. We will be stringing colorful lanterns in the courtyard over the tables and dance floor. We are so excited for the beautiful, fun-filled wedding weekend and still have so much to do until I say I DO! to the Love Of My Like :) Winning this prize would mean so much to both us.

I love the Grand Palais because it is floral and elegant at the same time. It’s just SO PRETTY. I’m getting married in a garden, and I love the romance of that, but I still want it to be luxe. It’s kind of hard medium to reach, romantic without being cute.

We’ll end the day with another set of gorgeous inspiration via this lovely shoot, sent in by Mike Colon from his recent photography workshop.  Joy Thigpen, an SW favorite, was the mastermind behind the styling.  The tough black heels with the delicate lace dress?  The purple artichokes nestled into the iris centerpieces?  The black tablecloth and marble placecards and old hymn book menus?  Yes, yes please.  Read on for a few more details behind the day!

“We wanted something retro, romantic, whimsical, and intimate, but with a little punch to it.  Some of our inspiration came from a shoot W Magazine did with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie a few years back.  After brainstorming with Joy, she just ran with it.

The anticipation and excitement the day of the shoot built by the minute.  As the photographers drove up, they were welcomed into a little oasis created by Joy and her team.  It was nothing short of amazing.  The photographers at Mike’s workshop were just giddy, like kids in a candy store.  The day was filled with hard work, laughter, and new friendships… we’d say it was a success!”

Because this was a workshop, the photography comes from a cross-section of the participants, including Reggie Joiner, Megan Metcalf, Alice Virden-Speer, Ethan Yang, Pesh, Rachel Kabukala, Rosanna Marie, and Ana Gabriel.  Kudos to all!

Vendors: Styling and decor: Joy Thigpen / Models: Susanna and Kenneth McMillian / Makeup and hair: Lauren Bricken / Invitations: Paisley Papers / Gown: Allie from Impressions Bridal / Lead photographer: Mike Colon / Location: Waters Mill Weddings and Events

Noooo way. This is too beautiful for words. But if I could speak, I would tell you that the menus are so genius…I love that they are actually restaurant-style menus and not just a lousy piece of paper. This is so utterly divine!

I got married at Waters Mill in May of this year, and it was just as beautiful as these pictures! Everyone there was the epitome of "Southern Grace and Charm". They worked so hard to make everything go smoothly for us, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing except to enjoy my day in one of the most beautiful and scenic locations that I’ve ever been in.

Next up is a gorgeous shoot from Karen Tran Florals.  Karen sent in two different looks, both masterminded by her head designer, Aileen Tran.  Key takeaways?  The varied height of the centerpieces, as well as the mod lucite trays paired with more organic dark wood ones.  And I love the little clutch of acorns at each place setting!

Kudos to Pamela Scott for the lovely photographs!  If you’re in the mood for a little more inspiration, take a few minutes to browse through Karen’s archives on our site — she’s a former guest blogger!  A couple favorites:

Pink and girly

Bold colors

Beach chic ceremony

Gold glamour

Happy clicking!
