Google+ Happy August Y'all! - Southern Weddings

I went into Michael’s yesterday and saw Halloween decorations. I did a double take and then I literally said out loud, “how did it become August already!?” To soothe my summer-is-almost-gone fears, I’ve put together a few of my favorite finds to get us geared up for the last stretch of steamy summer days.

Top row: I have recently become obsessed with these woodgrain watches from Nixon. I couldn’t pick a favorite, so I put both of my current lusts in here. On a recent journey to the magical land of Anthropolgie, I discovered Lollia. Hello, Lollia… you smell so good and your packaging is just divine.

Second row: I cant get enough of wedding dresses with pockets. There are a thousand practical uses for those little pockets, but mostly they are just cute. I think I’d feel right at home in this JCrew Genevieve gown with a place to rest my hands… and store my lip gloss, mints and maybe a cheat sheet of my vows. Wendy at Fuss Jewelry has made a life-long fan in me. Every season she finds the most lovely stones and natural materials for her one-of-a-kind pieces. How dreamy are these turquoise and gold hoops!?

Row three: ok, the SW ladies here know I am obsessed with candles… the really good smelling ones. This Volcano candle I discovered at (yet again) Anthropologie has me whistling while I work. Every time I see the Nantucket furniture collection in the Restoration Hardware catalog, my heart flutters. I just want to step into this picture and pour myself a glass of lemonade.

Row four: J Crew melts my heart once again. Loving the colors for fall and the detail on this shirt. More lovely Lollia lotions. I have both sitting on my desk right now.

Row five: I think it’s safe to say that August is my Anthropologie month. More lovelies from Anthro that I’m dying to get: Beams and Sparks bracelet, Lemon Initial necklaces, Enchanted Seeds bracelet

Don’t hang up those yellow polka dot bikinis yet my dears, but the turn into August makes me crave a little mountain adventure. I stumbled upon my new dream vacation destination yesterday: The Paws Up Resort in Montana. Not only is this place located on some of the most beautiful land I’ve ever seen, but this place is “glamping” at its finest. Luxury “tents”, mountain homes, gourmet dining from Montana’s top chefs, wine, wilderness, spa time and adventure… what more could a cowgirl ask for!? They have some stunning locations for weddings, but I’d pick this as a honeymoon destination in a heartbeat. Check out their fab website and you can even follow them on Twitter here. Can we please take a week and “work” from Paws Up? Anyone want to join us for a little glamping?

Happy August y’all!

I’ve heard about this resort! It’s supposed to be amazing. Of course, Montana is gorgeous. And isn’t it pet friendly too? How much fun would it be to have a wedding there, with all your favorite pups!

We visited Paws Up Resort for a week last year in October. The scenery is gorgeous, the weather was to die for and it even snowed one day while we were there (yeah!) and cold enough to use the fireplace in our cabin every evening. It’s a great place to relax with the one you love.
